LOCATIONThe eastern boundary of the ranch is 15 miles west of Laramie, Wyoming. The ranch then proceeds along Wyoming Highway 230 towards the hamlet of Woods Landing and the Jelm Post Office. WATER RIGHTS The ranch lands are under the Pioneer Canal Irrigation District managed by District Commissioners. X Bar Ranch is currently assessed for 2,374 owned shares and 1,127 leased shares in 2006. Fox Creek provides another 377 acres and 5.38 CFS of adjudicated water rights under proof 4669 dated Spring, 1880. The ranch also has rights from the Landing Ditch for 250 acres dated December 23, 1893, 269 acres dated August 30, 1902 and 160 acres dated March 15, 1909. Total appropriation to the X Bar Ranch, counting leased shares is for 4,564 acres and 65.2 CFS (cubic feet per second).
