WILDLIFE/RECREATION: Dunckley Park is a basin surrounded by mountains. The area retains the character of open lands, is not subdivided and remains a home for a wide variety of wildlife. Deer and elk are the primary game animals. Coyote Creek, for which the ranch is named, is in a beautiful canyon to the east of the ranch. Heavily timbered, with pine, aspen, serviceberry and oak, the canyon is rugged and a haven for wildlife. Adjacent to the ranch and accessible to it are over 1,000 acres of Bureau of Land Management lands with access controlled by this ranch and neighboring ranchers. Also portions of the rugged ridge country comprising the rim between the two creeks are included in the ranch deeded land. Fish Creek runs through the ranch. It is a small mountain stream and home to a native trout population. Four miles to the south is the well known recreational area called Dunckley Flat Tops on the Routt National Forest.
